Promoting Community TransportCommunity Transport Association

executive summary
We helped the Community Transport Association to showcase the vital importance of community transport in people’s lives.
challenge
Community transport is a lifeline for many older people, community groups and others who don’t have access to a car and want to make trips that aren’t possible by public transport. The Community Transport Association represents the interests of organisations who run these services, including community groups, social enterprises, schools, local authorities and faith groups.
Despite its importance in the lives of so many people, community transport is often overlooked, misunderstood and under-funded.
To remedy this, the Community Transport Association came to us to liven up their brand, broaden their appeal and showcase the diversity and importance of the sector.
solution
We produced a wide range of materials to showcase community transport in the UK.
We designed reports including ‘More than a Minibus‘ and ‘Act Local: Community Transport, Climate Action and Scotland’s Just Transition to Net Zero‘ to showcase the benefits of community transport and raise awareness of the scale and diversity of community transport services across the UK.
We created the logo and branding for the Association’s ‘Tackling Loneliness‘ campaign, which highlighted the importance of community transport in connecting people and reducing social isolation. As part of the campaign we created a series of educational videos to share learning about how to use community transport to bring people together.
Our branding work continued with creation of a brand for the first ever Community Transport Week, to raise awareness of the sector and celebrate the people who work and volunteer in it.
We also created exhibition and promotional materials to bring community transport to new audiences.
results
We were initially commissioned by the Community Transport Association to design their ‘More than a Minibus’ report. It was so well received by staff and partners that they went on to commission us for many other jobs and remain a loyal client. Our design work was used to inspire and refresh the Association’s brand identity and is now reflected across their communications output.
testimonial
It was a pleasure working with the Transform Consulting team on our More Than a Minibus report. Our members and my colleagues were quick to remark on its excellent design. The report has been a fantastic showcase of who we are and what we do, changing perceptions of our sector.
