Moira Tasker is a highly experienced third sector leader with two decades of influencing policy and delivering tangible change in Scotland. She has particular expertise in transport and planning, equalities issues, disabled access and human rights, community engagement, research and evaluation.
Moira is passionate about cross sectoral working to deliver inclusive services to people and communities and is the Chief Executive of Inclusion Scotland. Formerly, she was Managing Director (Maternity Cover) at Euan’s Guide, the multi-award winning disabled access website which shares reviews on the accessibility of places across the UK and beyond. For six years Moira was Chief Executive at Citizens Advice Edinburgh, growing the charity to become the largest advice service in the UK with five Bureaux and services at hospitals, Edinburgh Sheriff Court, GPs, housing associations and food banks. She was the Director of the Cockburn Association (The Edinburgh Civic Trust) leading high-profile campaigns in the built and natural environments, including a major public inquiry.
Moira has a passion for sustainable transport and its ability to reduce inequality and increase mobility for all. She has worked with and delivered commissions for a wide range of environmental charities including Sustrans, Living Streets and CoMo UK, as well as local authorities and Government agencies. Projects include ground-breaking research into low car developments in Scotland. Moira enjoys linking agendas and working collegiately with clients – including developers, architects, engineers, communities and planners – to solve tricky problems and make travel choice a reality for everyone.
