Moira Tasker is an experienced third sector leader with twenty years’ experience of influencing policy in Scotland. She has expertise in research, transport and planning, equalities issues and community engagement.
Moira is passionate about cross sectoral working to deliver better services and to support transformational change. She is currently Chief Executive at Inclusion Scotland. Prior to this she was Managing Director (Maternity Cover) at Euan’s Guide, the disabled access review site to find and share reviews on the accessibility of venues around the UK and beyond. From 2009 – 2015 she was Chief Executive at Citizens Advice Edinburgh, one of the largest advice services in the UK with five Bureaux and outreach services at hospitals, Edinburgh Sherriff Court, GP practices, housing associations and food banks. She was Director of the Cockburn Association (The Edinburgh Civic Trust) from 2006 – 2009 and has led high-profile campaigns in the built and natural environments, including a major public inquiry.
Moira has a particular interest in how sustainable transport can reduce inequality and increase mobility for all. She has worked with a wide range of organisations in the environmental sector including Sustrans, Living Streets and CoMo UK. Projects include ground-breaking research into low car developments in Scotland. She is the author of Living Streets’ Guide to Getting Better Streets and Pavements, co-produced with residents at Trust Housing Association.
Moira enjoys linking agendas and finding common ground to improve travel choice.
